The CAQM Sub-Committee revoked all Stage-I GRAP actions across the entire NCR with immediate effect on 29 May 2026, as Delhi's AQI improved to 123 from 207 the previous day.
Why it matters
Stage-I had been active since 19 May 2026. Its revocation lifts the operational restrictions it imposed on NCR industries, construction activities, and diesel generator use across contributing sectors. The Sub-Committee retains authority to re-invoke Stage-I or higher stages if AQI deteriorates; operators must maintain baseline compliance with all extant CAQM, MoEFCC, CPCB, and DPCC statutory directions regardless of GRAP stage.
