Set to launch on October 20, this tool allows users to transfer their social graphs between the two platforms, enabling seamless movement in either direction. The initiative, developed by the nonprofit A New Social, aims to make the open social web more accessible. Users can merge their follower lists when moving from Bluesky to Mastodon, although original posts do not transfer in this direction. The goal is to empower users to choose platforms that best suit their needs without being locked into a single service due to dissatisfaction with its policies or features.
