The European Commission amended EU poultry-entry authorisation lists to suspend imports from new HPAI-restricted zones in Canada and the United States and re-authorise certain earlier Canadian zones.
Why it matters
The Regulation changes which Canadian and US zones can supply poultry, poultry germinal products and fresh poultry/game-bird meat to the EU. Import eligibility now depends on the specific zone code, product category and outbreak-confirmation date in the amended Annex V and Annex XIV tables. Importers and border-control teams must apply the new restricted and re-authorised zone entries before accepting consignments.
