Why it matters
The amended Annexes add specific 10 km restricted zones in Saskatchewan and Alberta (Canada) and defined 10 km circular zones in specified US counties (Minnesota and Indiana) to the suspended list, creating a legal obligation for Member State authorities to prohibit entry of poultry, germinal products, and fresh poultry meat from those coordinates. The Regulation simultaneously amends UK entries to re-authorise consignments from the listed UK zones after the Commission evaluated the veterinary guarantees provided by the United Kingdom.
