India’s telecom regulator Trai cut 5G spectrum reserve prices by 7–37% across bands for upcoming auctions, proposed selling ~11,789.15 MHz across nine bands (₹2.10 lakh crore reserve), urged DoT to reclaim Aircel/Reliance Telecom/RCom spectrum in insolvency for re-auction, and set new lower pricing plus a 4-year payment moratorium for the 600 MHz band while keeping upper 6 GHz reserved for telecom but off the next sale.
Why it matters
