UPI reported Feb. 8 that the conservative-royalist Bhumjaithai party won Thailand’s election held Sunday, with 194 House of Representatives seats reported by The New York Times at the point when 89% of votes had been counted; the People’s Party was reported at about 116 seats and Pheu Thai at 86.
