Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan addressed Civil Services Trainees at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NACIN) in Palasamudram. He urged them to prioritize teamwork over individual brilliance as they prepare to serve the nation. Radhakrishnan highlighted the importance of laws for societal welfare and the need for effective enforcement by administrators. He praised the Union Public Service Commission for its role in maintaining merit and integrity in civil service recruitment. The Vice-President also discussed the significance of inclusive growth and the need to curb tax evasion. He encouraged trainees to embrace emerging technologies like AI and blockchain to enhance governance. Radhakrishnan reminded them of their responsibility towards 140 crore citizens, emphasizing that with power comes responsibility.
